Balanced, Bold and Beautiful!

The owners of this kitchen already knew they wanted arched natural maple cabinets with quartz countertops. I recommended that they keep the wood floor and paint the walls red. They also knew they wanted Viking appliances and that is how they found me...through my appliance store: Castleberry's in Chamblee, GA.

Since this is a galley kitchen, we added some depth and dimension by bumping out the sink cabinet and the cabinet under the microwave. Bunn feet were added to the 'bump out'. This added interest from the front of the cabinet and the counter top by breaking the straight lines up a little bit.

The counter top oven and drop in stove top were replaced with a slide in stove/oven. The microwave vent top was replaced with an open stainless vent hood.

The pantry closet was replaced with a pantry cabinet with full slide out shelves. This feature made enough room to add another base and wall cabinet and another 15" of much needed counter space.

Not pictured is a 12" deep pantry that is at the end of the refrigerator wall and just outside of the laundry room. The laundry room was enlarged by taking the bathtub out of the bathroom next door and moving the wall.

I first met with these clients in late August and we started construction the first week of November. They were able to cook Thanksgiving in their new kitchen!!!

Here are the before and after pictures of the kitchen:
